curb rash? i think thats an understatement.

just thought i'd post some pics of some wheels i started on today.. the customer did tell me his wheels had some heavy curb rash and i've seen heavy curb rash but.. two other wheels were curbed but those wernt so bad


after 2 sanding belts and a lot of love.


the rest of the paint, scratches and nicks will come off during sandblasting.. moar pics to come

yea bro.. normally one belt lasts enough for an entire set, i killed one n wasnt even half way done with that wheel lol.

Funny i bought my G with wheel curbs just as bad. What kinda sand blaster are you using? Harbor frieght or eastwood any good? Im looking to get one to blast my wheels also.

I couldn't say, all the equipment used is industrial, sandblasting booth n all.. The machine spits out blast abrasive at 160psi takes anything off instantly but requires a breathing mask w/ an air line n high pressure compressor.. The hand held one I've heard works okay but isn't strong enough to blast off heavy rust or thick powder coats

I've seen people try to sell wheels that are nearly as bad. I wouldn't even bother to fix those...

yea but not powder coated any color you'd like and they'll be immaculate once the sand blasting is done

I'd normally agree with u but my pops has owned a sheet metal fab shop for about 30years now so with some of the equipment he has fixing curb is pretty easy for the most part
