Heist's BMW 2002 build
Nothing good, but still progress.
welded the lines shut. The little things get to me haha

Pulled out another wire wheel and stripped all the primer off the seals. I'm set on making this as rust free as possible.

Purchased the prep and por 15. The prep and ready leaves a zinc coat, pretty badass.

sprayed all the metal and infected areas with the metal ready.

After 30 minutes you can really see it bubbling and pulling up the rust.

cleaned everything off and applied a liberal coating of por 15 to all the headliner, a/b pillars. and any trim that had raw metal/ rust.

Por 15's light sensitive so i'm going to let it dry in my garage till friday, then do a light sand and spray some can primer on it.
Still drying. Applied a light spray of primer.
stuff is really amazing, can't wait to see how it holds up.

Awesome update. Glad to see you're doing it right so it will last! Well worth the extra time IMO... You are going to get some serious looks when she's finished!!
Keep it up- my favorite thread on driver!

Matzo Ball- not 100%, but probably that combo. Still thinking jet black for the body paint.
P10 WRC- 4700$...... thats over 2x what I paid and the nose has to be replaced, which in terms of this car is probably the most expensive piece to replace haha.
I would consider that car worth 1500$ tops. I would say $1000, but since the dash has no cracks + original paint makes it worth a lot more in my eyes

gloss is the plan. I'm still debating on doing the lips copper so that it can better contrast against the black tire. I'm starting to think black face with copper lips would be the best.
I think this is more appealing. It will make a much better contrast from wheel lip(copper)-rubber(black)-fender(gloss black)
(copper will be a lot brighter, but I'm struggling with photoshop today)
more of my style.
