Ya or Nay to White TA on Mag Blue?

Really wanted a set of Magnesium Blue Volks RE30s. Finally got them! This is my third set of Volks, previously owned the GT-7 and GT-S.

Experimenting w/ the TA because I didnt like how the Mag Blue sometimes looks black at night. Only put the white on one side before deciding not to do the other side. I'll see how i feel about after a week. Whether to take it off or do the other side.

Luckily I took these pictures before hitting a tire on the hwy goin 80-90mph. My front is pretty messed up.

 

Mag Blue looks good on DG! Good color choice.

Take it off please it just doesnt look right. Reminds me of white wall tires for some reason. I guess the timeattack "red" is more subtle so thats why it looks great on black wheels.

I love mag blue on DG. I almost got a set of ce28 in mag blue before I got my gtfs. Looks so clean.

I think the idea of breaking up the solid color may be a good idea, but I would bet that in person the tape looks cheap. Maybe polishing the lip would look good and break up the solid color, but it's hard to tell.

Yea Red or white TA looks good on black wheels. But those colors look soo Tacky on blue.

Yea the GT-F are clean, but you should have got the Mag Blue CE28!

Yea exactly. The blue and black tires are two close solid colors that kinda takes away from the wheels. I wanted a light color that differentiates where the wheel ends and tires start.

But your right, the white looks tacky on the blue rims. I wouldnt go so far to change these rims to get the lips polished though. Would like to keep them original.

Possible that a Polished TA tape would help? Every other color is out of the question.

 

Mag blue looks good henry..are those white strips or rash from hitting fenders?
