Just polished up my ride. I think I did particularly well with the engine bay.

Have you considered painting your headlights to match your grill?

Thanks for embedding the images. Yes, or film over them, something subtle. The hump on the headlight concerns me for DIY. I'd actually really like for the inside housing to be black instead of chrome. I saw this on a white G and it looked nice.

Its not difficult at all to paint them. There are a couple of DIYs on the forums. Here is one from a first Gen Sedan.

I did the headlights on my dad's G37. It wasn't much different than a G35 with the exception of the amber side pieces being plastic riveted in. I took those out by cutting the rivets, tinted them, then 2 part epoxied them back in place. Here's a couple pics:
