That's exactly how the market is here... I lived with my inlaws their house sold for 1.7........ No way I can afford that. We went to buy a home in the 500k range and were fighting and being outbid by over 130k in some areas...... Just insane. We decided to rent and are paying 2k a month for a 4 bed 3 bath..... I have 2 kids lol.....

And Paramus isn't even close to the city...I'm a quarter mile from the GWB, WAY worse price wise. I agree though, seeing the houses in college in OK and what half a mil buys out there, was mind blowing in comparison

Wow. A house like that where I live would pry cost you 80k if that...!!!! A 400k home in my town will seriously get you a mansion on a golf course... Ha ha. That's crazy shiz....

I'm no housing expert, but that house for example, when the markets at its strongest, fair to say it'd be over half a million for that thing?? Lol

Currently out here on the West Coast Housing is at its strongest... Its absolutely INSANE!!!

my house has appreciated roughly 20% since I purchased it in 2013

My first investment property took a 160k dump in the 8 yrs ive owned it (really just int he first 2). Net though, Im in the black.

^ damn thats nuts. for the same price i bought a 2bd 2 bath 800 sq ft condo in hawaii and that was the discounted price. hawaii prices are so disgusting. and thats not even the avg price of a condo here theyre usually about $500k
