Import Wars: Pics of my car + Chris's boosted G

Well, all I can say positive about todays import wars at New England Dragway was I met Chris, the owner of a sick caribbean blue vorteched coupe. He raced his, I parked mine over in the show section just for chits. Here are some pics. I also have some clips of him on his first run down the drag. Ill host that later. He had a bit of trouble getting traction, as did everyone else today becuase it was ******* freezing out today (low 40's). Once he gets in here Ill host the vid, for now here is some pics of mine + his.

Hey Everyone,

It was nice meeting a fellow G owner from the forums!! We had a nice chit chat. Unfortunately myself along with one other Z were the ony rear wheel drive cars without slicks. I couldn't get ANY traction of the starting line up until 4th gear. First time I hopped the rear end and ran a 14.4@105!!!! What a crappy time. Second time i feathered the clutch and as i started pushing it after 2nd gear, i broke traction going 60 and i couldn't speed up. That time I ran a 16 flat at 100!!! LoL. You can tell though the Vortech helps your top end... even though i had a 16 second 1/4 mile, i still had a 100mph trap speed. Anywho...the track was slick due to the heat of the cars tires and the cold pavement which caused condensation on the track. They brought blowers on the track to try to dry it up. Hopefully I can hit low 13's on this thing maybe better by next spring ;-)

you can hit low 13's with the stock Vortech setup and a good tune...I did it on 19's...13.2@109...great looking G...

Chris, make sure you burn some tire before you hit the lights! lol..
The traction was probably horrible since it was so misty out that day.
I ran a 14.1 with 600 miles on my G lol. with 105 trap you better running better!

Chris - saw your G at the Watertown BestBuy the other day. Sweet ride! I just got my sedan ('04 x) few weeks back - done the basic mods, but nothing like yours.
