I nicked a curb about a week after they were PC'd and decided from that point on I'd never go with a finish that couldn't be easily repaired.

 

Wheels look sick!! They remind me of that sick set of t1s that ravspec was selling that were flat gunmetal with gloss black lips..

 

Yup, I think the dude from DWSParts.com has those now. I still haven't seen these in person yet but I have a feeling some of the bronze is picked up in the lips under the gloss black in the right light. If so that'd be pretty sweet, but I'll hopefully find out later this week.

 

It must of been a bitch to tape those off since they are welded, that's why I was gonna redo mine one color..

 

It is a huge pain to mask everything. The only reason I talked my guy into doing them again (when they were PC'd he painted the faces the OB, powder shop didn't want the *** pain of it) was because they're going to be sold.

I'm pretty sure when I pay him and pick them up he's going to punch me in the dick.

 

Lol, when the shop fixed mine they did a **** job of taping them off and there was paint on the lips.. The new owner just painted them fully gloss black..

 

I just came back from seeing them and the first two look awesome but he's got to touch up a spot that pulled a little with the tape. He's going to be working on the other two today and tomorrow.

I feel terrible for the guy, he's a good dude, I shouldn't have asked him to do the two tone but they do pretty slick.

Would have been way easier to do a solid color. The tiny gaps in between the spokes at the lip were almost impossible to get sand paper on for prep and mask off but so far so good.

I figure if the next owner curbs one he can just file it down and grab some OB touch up paint and be good rather than trying to color match a custom powder (like the bronze was).

 

Would of been easier just to sandblast them and refinish them one color, they do look sick though,, if I were him I'd throw them at u when u pick them up.. lmao!!!!!
