One of the few reasons I like living in the butthole of North Carolina, anything done tastefully is going to stand out around here (even being slammed on stock body is pretty special if the wheels aren't crap). It's easy to impress here lol.
Will be running what used to be a pretty common body setup on the forums here pretty soon, but haven't seen another G locally with anything more than a front lip since I moved here in '08.
Trying to build for the forums is pointless and damn difficult. It ends up being not a whole lot of fun to drive (function just doesn't photograph as well as form). So do what ever it is that makes you happy and disregard anything that's not constructive as a result.
As long as you're not sticking on autozone "vents"

Been busy lately. Still have some tweaking to do all around but almost back on the road.
Front end work: Grabbed the Beck-ArnleyMevotech replacement transverse links and control arms, then pushed out the bushings that came with them in favor for the SPL solid / spherical bushings all around. You can see the giant wedge of the bottom half of one on the control arm in the back.
New bushings all pressed in before the install:
Comparison of the SPL replacement and what comes with the Beck-Arnley replacement:
OEM vs. new and improved:
Also had an alignment go bad about a month and a half ago. Alignment guy didn't tighten up the passenger side upper control arm (SPC A arm) causing the ball joint on the spindle to destroy itself. Used it as a reason to upgrade to the SPL arms. Wasn't planning on doing it until next year, but it what it is...
And got some work done engine-wise for a change. My rev-up is burning oil so in my downtime I've been very slowly stripping a replacement block to rebuild. I've had a ton of parts sitting around on the shelf and finally decided to install some of them. Lower runners, Kinetix Velocity and NWP Throttle Body port matched and put in in favor of the old stuff. It'll carry over to the new engine, but just a shame to have it all collecting dust.
Old oil-clogged runners:
Nice new ported runners:
And almost done sorting out everything with the new stuff. Running a little lean (no surprise) so I'll be tuning it in the next week or so.
