Doing an HDR photo isnt that simple. You must take multiple different pictures at the same angle with different exposures, or you can take an image in RAW format and do the same to it, but its not possible with one jpeg format photo....and a bad one at that, sorry

the three pics above i did it with zoombrowser EX that came with my canon camera.
I tried pohotomatrix..doesnt come out as good as you did with your G

I think the whole HDR idea will be much more dramatic and cool with sunsets or in parking garages rather than plain daylight. I tried to recreate what I saw in photomatix with your pic and this is pretty close.

1) Select area where window is/should be
2) Fill with black brush usually @ 70% opacity
3) Use clone stamp @ 15-25% opacity and lightly cover with piece from picture.
4) Finally you will apply the motion filters on on the picture after you have selected the "merge visible" option in your layers.
**Motion filters are BAD. They may look 'cool' to the unexperienced photoshop user, but in all reality they are cheesy. Ghosting gets to be annoying too.
