Yea you can fight with your luxury and customer service all you want..
Power will always > Luxury unless you're a 30+ yr old guy that needs the look of a more mature car. I would care less about customer service since I haven't even brought my G into service since I've owned it.. (just like my other cars). If it breaks, replace it with something better.
The Evo is insane, I took one out.. The balance and insane control the Evo has obviously shows up the G. The AWD and cheap mods will always beat the G. I'm just sitting here kicking myself for dropping 15+K into a G and wondering what I could have done with an Evo!
You guys can whine and question him all your want. It boils down to personal needs. Some people here just think the G owns everything on the road, because it has cruise control and buttons on the steering wheel. I understand someone of you love the car alot, I can't park my car overnight on the street. The Evo would be perfect, cheaper mods and I can beat the living crap out of it.
It's obvious that the threadstarter hasn't gotten through his fast car stage, which is awesome. Everyone HAS to experience the speed before getting into the old man's car!

If all that mattered were power, then why would you spend $36K on a car when you can buy a 5.0 Mustang and put in $10k and run 10's?
Oh and btw, Evo's are cool :-D...
But I prefer a mix of speed/luxury/ and hotn3ss and the G just about owns that group in the price range

I love Evo MR! I also was going to trade in for one but after some thinking, I decided that I wanted some luxury and class
Evo is a great car when it comes to performance, though.
Good luck with it.

It is really easy to have a good opinion on the evo after a 10 minute spirited test drive. Try owning one and going through 2 hours of near bumper to bumper m-f. After a year of this; you will be scratching your head.
The suspension is so stiff that it literally took about 3 weeks to get used to the bone jarring ride on bad freeways. Honestly for me; the only way I could see the evo being practical is if it was tracked on a regular basis. Of course the evo was fun on freeway entrance ramps and long stretches of road. Just didn't work out as a daily driver for me. Have to replace oem tires for 1000.00 after 10k? No thank you... Cheap plastic interior? pass.... You're right...on a track the evo will destroy a G...but for 95% of the time; when you are on the road daily driving ; the G wins hands down. You stated you would care less about customer service since you never brought the G into service...you proved everyone's point yourself. Of course you don't even think about having to deal w/ a company that says your 2nd to 3rd gear grind ( which I've had since day 1) is non-existant. You never had to deal w/ a company who would try to blame your aftermarket catback for the failure of your motor. Power > Luxury; ok; whatever floats your boat. Let me know when you sell your turbo G; get a civic hatch w/ a full race gt35 kit on a built 2.0. It will blow your G away in terms of power; so that should be a no brainer for you.

Sounds like Fight Club up in here. I think someones about to throw down.
Let's not try to compare the cars. The EVO is in a complete different class of its own with the WRX and other 4 bangers. The G35 would be better compared to a C230, BMW 330CI, or M3, but not an EVO with all wheel drive and more money in the engine than in the interior.
Let him have his fun in his new car. My boy has one and I think its great fun. He has gutted it all the way to the rear winshield wiper in the rear!! I love my G, the sounds it makes, and the "damn man, you have a nice car!" that I get from friends and strangers.
Let's continue our fun with our reasonably priced sport luxury cars, and he (and others) can continue enjoying their track cars.
The G is sexy as phuch though

dude, if you need any parts hit me up. I work for www.nolimitmotorsport.com and 2 of us here has evos up until a month ago. Mine ran 11.9 ons tock turbo and pump, my co worker ran 12.2 with a slightly slipping clutch. We're vendors on the evolutionm.net forum and stock a ton fo parts at great prices. Let me know!

But you gotta admit, the 30mph "race" was pretty funny
