nice ride raver... does anyone know if the tips of the exhaust can be sanded down and repolished to remove the "burnt" area... i know thats the look for titanium tips, i just dont really like it on dg, and i REALLY want that exhaust.

At first, I was thinking, if I wanted it to look normal, just flip the tip in reverse and have the other end sticking out. That way it looks like regular metal finish, but the "screw" will be a little closer to the ends. I guess it depends on what angle you look at the exhaust. It might look fine if you're standing up.

Just a thought, maybe if I have time I'll try it!

I took my car to a shop who did my 7500K HID headlights & 6000K HID fogs to install the LED strip. It's basically 2 strips of LEDs that are really thin (about 3mm thick & 15" long x 2 strips on each door) and the strips have a sticky back to them to stick to the bottom of the door. It was wired to the door entry light and is really bright!

It's really cool cuz when you open your door, other drivers and people can see it far away! Here are some pix, but it's hard to tell how bright they are cuz I'm below a light in my apartment's garage:

I'll try to get you info on the guy who installed it. The thin led strip was a product he special ordered from either Japan or China. I wanna get more to install inside my car under the dash to light up the foot area!

I'll keep you all posted!

Here's a direct side view picture of the sides, they are a little lower towards the wheels, but that's okay with me. I'm still able to go up/down ramps and park in front of those cement blocker thingies, not like my lowered 96 civic!

Just because the tips are ti, doesn't mean they have to be burnt. They do it purposely, because ti changes color at different temperatures, so i wonder if you can get these tips from hks BEFORE they burn them. I'm not against them, it looks way hot on an LS car, but my DG would look kinda wierd with it. W/E hot car any way.
