Paintscratch (rock chip repairs)

Just sharing the progress on a repair I am attempting w/ spray paint from paintscratch.com. I elected to first paint a license plate bracket I got with my wheels from F1motorsports to test the match.

I sanded, primed x2, sanded again, put down 3 base coats sanding in between each coat but not the last. 2 layers of clear coat and then used rubbing compound to shine it up. It still looks a bit rough as I need to use more rubbing compound on it but I think the match will be pretty decent.

I am attaching pics of the plate holder and of the repair I am now attempting. I will post pics if the grille when it is complete. I just finished the primer and am about to wet sand it to prepare for the base coat.
