Hey guys i live in so cal and i am looking for a shop to do a ls swap and knows what there doing. I have been told by a couple shops that they could do it but when all said and done they back out. If you can find a shop that does LSX work they should be familiar with the LS motor and be able to complete the swap. With the help of fueled racing for the swap kits and chasebays for a wiring harness you shouldnt have a problem having any competent shop do this swap. I was able to do it in my garage. Heres a link to the build thread i did https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...-lsx-swap.html

Eric if you can find a shop please let me know as I am also looking to have this done in the SoCal area. Do you already have the ls2 and trans?

^ if you guys were in Vegas I could def help you. But what like brew_haha said their harness from chasebays and fueled racing kit it's pretty much a straight forward swap for a competent shop.

Oh and I strongly suggest the chasebays harness, it's clean and will save you any headaches you may end up with, most likely will, if you try another route harness wise.

Brew I know you went with Sikky and have seen that you aren't overly satisfied with some of their stuff, but is Fueled offering anything more than Sikky for the extra $1000?

Driving is great, power is amazing and i couldnt be happier with the setup that i have. Eric - you just need to keep the stock wiring harness. You can pull out everything else clutch line, power steering, exhaust, and anything elase having to deal with the VQ35

Hey guys hopefully you can shine some light on this, i found a motor off a 06 escalade with 116K Miles for 1650.00 i was just wondering if that is to much $ for the miles or if that is a ok deal.

I think you're going to need a LS motor that is newer than the car you're putting it in. Along with all the oem emissions equipment.
