I should have charts soon, the dyno tech wasn't there when I picked up the car. I do have before and after runs and I will post them as soon as I get them.

I have to see this to believe it. Funny. >20hp increase to the wheels? My 14lb JWT flywheel didn't do jack for power.

Should'nt be a problem, put it in gear and stand on the gas. I seriously doubt that a new performance clutch is going to slip that much unless you are on the 1320 doing holeshots with drag sliks.

What makes this clutch and flywheel different from the JWT package to be able to produce the horsepower gains?

Finally got the charts, however after the conversion rate to true SAE horsepower there was a gain of 13 hp and 17 ft/lbs of torque.

I'm sorry to tell you man, but some body is blowing smoke up your caboose. If you look at the two charts, the first is run #1, and the second is run# #9. That means it's an a comparison between the absolute best and absolute worst runs.

When I dyno'd last Saturday, my first pull was 246. My third pull was 258. So I picked up 12whp in 20 minutes, with no work. Amazing huh?

I think something else is going on here, but I'll reserve my hunches for the time being. Since this is a dynojet, the runs should have been saved as .drf files and you can do your own analysis. You can download the winpep viewer program from here: http://www.dynojet.com/downloads/zip/7.5.1_Install.zip

That will let you look at everything from correction factors to gear ratios. Why don't you ask z1 and see if they can email you your run files? If you're willing to share them with me, I'd like to do a bit of analysis myself.

I'm not trying to be a dick, I just don't want you to be mislead.

We did 3 pulls with the stock flywheel/clutch setup.
Runs = #1, #2, #3

We did 3 pulls with another flywheel we are testing.
Runs = #4, #5, #6

We did 3 pulls with the Z1 lightweight flywheel/clutch combo.
Runs = #7, #8, #9

We took the best run with the stock setup and the best run with the Z1 flywheel/clutch setup. The charts are the best of the 3 runs for each clutch/flywheel setup. The runs were done on the same day so all of the conditions were the same.

We had no reason to mislead Brian, we gave him the clutch/flywheel free for letting us test it on his car. As stated in my previous post that is how we did the runs. We didn't know what differences to expect when we dynoed the car. Trey if you want any more details or have any more questions feel free to PM or call me.

Explain to me how it makes more horse power. Was the old clutch slipping?

The new flywheel and clutch kit is getting rid of 20 lbs of unsprung weight, thus reducing the strain adn freeing up the power that the engine had the whole time.

Sorry, I disagree with you. A flywheel stores energy. I could see the torque curve start earlier, or peak torque happen earlier on a dyno. Why would anybody want to put a 13 pound flywheel in a 3450 LB car?
Drivability has to be just horrible.
