+1 on the great performance. It is hard to see, but here is a pic of mine that I installed.

Interesting...

I've been looking into these since this review, and they seem to work pretty well.

The motor mounts on the stock engine seem to be too flexible, which therefore allows unwanted vibrations to occur.

Stock motor mounts:

Pros: more flexible mounts allows for a more comfortable ride & idle, as unwanted vibrations are refrained from chasis.

Cons: at higher RPM's and harder driving, the engine will have more unwanted vibrations which in result causes a waste of energy & allows the engine to vibrate in an unwanted manner.

Solid/stiffer mounts:

Pros: Less vibrations during hard driving. Therefore, the engine & tranny become more effiencient & the vibrations are smoother. (more efficient transfer of vibrations into the chasis)

Cons: Stiffer mounts means that these vibrations have to go somewhere... consequently, during idle, these vibrations are transfered to the chassis & idle becomes a bit more rough.

Do I have this right???

I guess I'm going to give these a shot!

Is the Stillen mounted on the driver's side or passenger side? How do the brackets look like? And will this work with a strut bar?

i thought this thread was about the stillen engine damper not the motor mounts?

^^Think in a way, the dampener acts like a stiffer/more solid motor mount would.
Thats my interpretation.

the concern I have is the added vibration... fortunately I don’t have a lot of buzzes and rattles in the cabin, but occasionally I do and it drives me nuts!!!! I isolate the source and eradicate it. I'm not sure the engine damper is going to give enough benefits to warrant the chance of additional rattles/buzzes (for me).

IMO, huge difference between the two. Motor mounts get right down to the problem, while the engine dampner is a quick fix.

There is a huge difference in the two. Ideally, you want the engine dampner to mount to the block itself. The Weapon R mounts to the intake plenum while the Stillen looks like it mounts to the motor itself.

Yes, the stillen is going to be much better as it connects directly to the chassis of the car from the engine. The weapon R connects from the manifold to the upper mount...i don't think it is as efficient.

To tell you the truth when i installed mine the vibrations are veyr very minimal. You really have to pay attention in order to notice the added vibrations (radio off, both hands on the wheel, and close your eyes).

don't you have to lift the motor to install solid motor mounts also. as opposed to the bolt-on engine damper.
