thank you!
so i purchased the stillen grounding b4 seeing this thread should i send it back hear some good n bad dnt know wat to do its not installed so i have options just need some opinions
The first kit I ever purchased was the Stillen one and it was 100% junk! It was the reason I began making my own kits. Send it back and get my kit. I sure everyone would agree. PM me to purchase.
Just installed the kit tonight at midnight.Took me a little while but overall wasn't too bad. I reset the ECU and it seemed okay. A little quicker but nothing spectacular...so I pulled over and tried resetting it again. This time things were definitely noticeably better. Must've not done it right the first time?
Anyway, the throttle response is definitely better, seems a lot more sensitive now. Also the shifting lag is definitely improved also. Although it does not consistently shift at a quick rate. Every now and then it'll shift almost instantly, other times it'll just be as slow as always.
Also it seems the higher you go the faster the shifts get. 1-2 is okay, 2-3 is better, 3-4 is fast, 4-5 is almost instant.Bringing back my comment about how it doesn't consistently shift quick, that changes if you're actually on the gas hard. If I'm accelerating hard the shifts are phenomenal, where as if I was cruising, the speed varies and is more likely to be slower.
From only driving about a very hard 25 miles with the kit on, I'd say this mod is definitely worth it for those who dread the very slow responding 5at.
