Has anyone installed these on an '05 6MT Coupe yet? I'm wondering how it compares w/the new sport suspension, and if it'll still fit...

My thoughts as well. Considering leaving the front OEM and doing the 350evo adjustable rear.

Just installed my stillen sways, set to medium/medium as recommended by many others (though not in this thread particularly - didn't really understand Q45Tech's note).

I was able to install using rhino ramps. For the front, each side requires end link removal (1 bolt), and frame mount removal (3 bolts, 1 nut). They are torqued on at factory more than what stillen recommends for reinstallation - required a great deal of force in a cramped spot. Other than that no problem. Changed the oil and filter while I was there.

The rear also installed using rhino ramps. End links were harder to unbolt because the entire assembly would rotate -required using a crescent wrench on the far side of the end link to keep it from shifting while using a large socket wrench on the inside nut. Not too easy in a cramped spot while flat on your back! Luckily the back was not as tight as the front. If you get a long breaker bar or a nice torque wrench, it makes life a lot easier...

Handling on my 2004.5 coupe is well, FLAT! Much less roll - love it. Much more predictable cornering. I currently have the stock PS/2 tires - 225R18 in front 245R18 in back. What happens when I move to 245 in front and 295 in back (10 in rim, in prep for FI)? Do I need to adjust the rear to stiff? Or the front to soft? Or both?

On my sedan, I eventually set it soft front and medium rear. Anything more and it didn't feel right. It would get a little squirlly if more was used.

Either way, its much better than stock. I will never go back.

So for everyday driving without cornering hard or even "medium", are these worth it? Im in the market for sways just cuz they're a cheap performance upgrade but I really dont throw my car into corners.

Ummm, then no - it only affects cornering. Straight line travel suspension is not affected as far as I can tell.

I will say that the impact on cornering is marked though. I would describe it as much more "even" and in control as opposed to the stock initial pushing/plowing sensation followed by a whipping around of the tail.

I installed mine on an 05 and used soft front setting and med rear. The front understeer is gone now and bites hard when you take corners. The car tends to oversteer slightly if you come in too hot, but with a little steering and throttle control is very controllable and alot of fun. It is much more fun to drive and feels safer than when stock because as most people know, once you understeer hard into a corner...there isnt much you can do but hope there is enough road...

Hmmm. Well if you aren't really ripping through corners, you probably don't need them.

If you are mostly cruising, you probably don't want them. On a smooth road cruise it won't make a difference. But if you go over speed bumps (not exactly square with it) it jolts the car a bit more. The same applies to driveway gutter entrances, potholes or any other discontinuities in the road surface.

My every-day-cornering ranges from slow-old-man to hanging the tail out on exit. I have fun when able and exercise restraint when not.

I installed the NISMO sways on my '05 6MT and noticed an overall more solid feel and it tracks extremely straight and flat during slow/normal driving. With 3000 miles on it, it suddenly felt as solid as it did when the suspension had only 13 miles on it... ...maybe better.

During hard corners, the body roll has definately been reduced and and the sways allow higher cornering speed before the rear steps out.

I was impressed with how flat my OEM G handled. The sway bars took it up another notch.

It should be noted that my '05 6MT is a hardtop (no sunroof).

Just got my sways. I still have my stock 18's right now and I was wondering if it would be ok setting the front to soft and the rear to med-hard(between medium and hard). For those of you who have these bars, did you get any bushings when you ordered them? All I got in my box was two bars and a piece of paper for the instructions. Seemed a little empty to me.

Bushings are not included as Stillen recommends reusing the OE ones.

I also have the 18's on my 04 6mt coupe and currently have my sways at F med/soft and R med. I started at med/med as suggested by Stillen. Both of these set ups work well.
IMHO F soft and R m/h is too aggressive and is more likely to cause an undesirable oversteer situation.

Stillen sways.........like em?

I had Stillen install my sways at their open house.
Within the first mile I could tell my G cornered
flatter with 0 lean. Now I'm used to the feel I don't
notice how well it does thru the corners until I push
it on a corner or onramp.....great mod!

Well I go auto-x'ing a lot and I would like it to oversteer more with less force. This car, stock, just plows through the corners and I usually have to steer with the throttle aggressively to avoid hitting cones.

^ your post didn't mention anything about an x cross set up. I haven't xcrossed my car so others here would be a better source than me for a good set up. The only experience I have is at the track. I would however think you would want a stiffer front set up than full soft for Xcross.
