Megan header + HKS hi-power

I want to share with everyone about this setup.
About a month ago, I bought a set of Megan racing Header + test pipe + HKS hi power exhaust. With these I have straight exhaust from the engine. I am not planning to invest into a blower, so all the plan stop there and I am waiting for injen to develop a CAI for 05 model (if they can develop one).

The sound is awesome, sounds and smile like driving a race car.
There is no dyno, but my butt dyno tells me that there is some loss in low-end torque. A few more people try it and gave me the same reply: "supercharge it, buy the HKS rotex kit" I agree and believe this is an excellent idea, unfortunately, I dont have a extra 5 grand sitting in my bank. So we come up with another low budget solution: put the stock cat back in. So we did and everyone likes it. Now I do agree that the HKS hi-power is not very loud at all. I will try to do a dyno, and keep ya'll posted.

I've currently got the DC StainlessSteel Headers + HKS Hi Power + Stock Cats

Loss of Low-end is one thing. But the gains from mid to hi are definitely there.
Not sure how much more flowing the Megan Racings are (or less) but it should be similar.

I couldn't imagine having Test-Pipes on this setup. It's already loud as it is.
Test pipes are for mid to high end punch.

Happy Driving!
Rollin til the wheels fall off!
STAY NA! YEAYUH!!!

Now that the stock cat-back exhaust is in, will you be selling the HKS?

HAHAHAHAHA!!!
This could be a case of "People Hearing What They Wanna Hear"
It's all good CarFanatic56.

It's amazing how much demand there is for this exhaust system.
People are asking if it's for sale, threatening to steal, asking to trade, hell even borrow. For those that have it, i guess we're very lucky.

Peace.

Last i heard it was a 4-6 week wait.
But that was for the shipment from HKS.

The wait on HKS products at the moment is depressing.
If it's not in stock, you best be patient.

Hell, their KEYCHAINS are on backorder as well! HAHAHAH!
