My first mod! JW Pop charger.
The install is pretty straight forward. The hardest part was putting the rubber flex tube back on the MAF housing. It was easy once I figured out to attach that before mounting the MAF housing bracket. As far as performance goes I really don't notice too much of a diff. It feels a bit more powerful around 4k, but it's not a world of difference. It definitely sounds better than the stocker. I've still got the stock intake. I'll be ordering the Z tube soon. Hopefully that will make a bit more of a difference.

Yeah, that was ridiculous. Now that I've had it on for a week I'm totally loving the sound. I find myself gunning it just to hear it. It's definitely got a bit more pick up now that the mental part of the gains has worn off. Worth every penny. I can't post pics now b/c my car's in the body shop.

I still do not have the Z tube. I'm in the middle of a project that's soaking up all of my cash. That said, I love the pop charger. The sound is incredible. Off the line it does bog a very slight bit. I cannot stress how small of a bog it is and only on WOT launches. Nowhere near as much compared to a CAI that I had on my Prelude. Mid-range power seems to have gone up slightly. I don't notice a difference on the top end w/c is weird b/c I was told that that's where the power increase would be. I would definitely do it again if I bought a new G. I just can't wait to hear it with the Z tube.
The other day I dropped my wife off at the front of a restaurant and another G coupe had just driven in front of me. After I parked the car some guy asked me if a 350GT was a sport tuned package for the G35. I said no and that I had just changed the emblems. He said that my car sounded "more powerful" than the one that was in front of me and that's why he asked what a 350GT was.
Honestly, I'd only get this for the sound improvement (which is huge). If your goal is simply more air I'd stick with the stocker box, remove the baffle underneath it, and use a K&N filter. If you like a nice deep growl mixed with a slightly high pitched sucking sound this is definitely for you. Just be prepared to visit the gas station more often. You'll find yourself playing w/ the throttle...A LOT.
