I don't think where it was built matters. Unless it is a skyline 350GT and it RHD, its USDM.

It being RHD or LHD does not matter. It's just RHD or LHD due to which side of the road that country drives in. Is a EU car being LHD a JDM?

I didn't say all Infiniti were, I said "our car"...Anyways they are building the FX over there now, because now the FX or hybrids are now in JAPAN.

 

since the Skyline 350GT is RHD, that would mean for a G35 to be "true JDM" it too would need to be RHD. If you were to take your G35 to Japan no one there would think its "JDM" it would be a "USDM"

I guess I just never really understood the whole JDM BS. And so many people who are yelling DM all the time ust have body kits, rims, and maybe they rebadged the car and suddenly, I'm JDM bro!!!! My neighbor has a newer civic coupe, CF hood, CF trunk, exhaust, dropped, and maybe a few minor engine bolt ons. And he has a sticker on the car that says "I Love my JDM" when not one thing on that car came that way from a Japanese honda dealership.

 

Funny thing is if I were to take my car to Japan, they'd all go crazy over it. I mean if I still had my Infiniti badge on it. lol... it's like the opposite over there, we want JDM and they want US cars such as Infiniti. I saw a R34 with a Infiniti logo. lol.. also the only difference from the "G35" and Skyline 350GT is which side you drive on. A Japanese car is ................a Japanese car. If I were to import (which is totally stupid) a 350GT. You wont see any difference aside from the obvious.

Anyways, enough of the bs JDM, USDM, USMC, USAF, ABC talk... who's going to happy hour this thursday

So true. Especially when you go to a Nissan Dealer here. They act like the car is Foreign. I can't get any support at all. Since I don't have a true Japanese VIN I always get the we don't know which parts will fit your car, since it is a US model

I think it has more to do with my car actually being modded. All the other V35 Skylines I see around here are not modded at all and typically driven by old people. Because of this I don't see many V35/36 Skylines at all because it has a stigma floating around it that it is an old persons car
