Damn bro! What kind of gearing do you have? What did you trap at when you went there last?

Most VQ's finish the 1/8th around 80mph which puts you towards the top of 3rd gear. If you only use up to 2nd gear in the 1/8th, that's at about 60mph. That's for VQ's regardless of using stock 3.3 gears or 3.5 gears (RWD). FWD VQ's (MT) also have short gearing.

I'll have to look up my old time slips. But i think my altima was pulling 9.2 @ 77 mph when it was bone stock. my 2nd gear takes me to 80ish. Spun a lot in 1st gear.

Ready for another dyno meet!?!?!

As far as the videos I've seen, manual Altima's top out at 60-ish in 2nd gear. Saw a 0-60 video of an Altima topping out 2nd at 60. Name looked familiar.

Maybe it is 60ish. I haven't paid attention lately. but even that said, i would be in the beginning of 3rd gear and then bam...Race is over

You said you trapped at 77. That's towards the top end of 3rd gear.

Maybe it's just me, but like I said, I'd much rather run the 1/8 th 30 times than the 1/4 2 times.

Let's set up a meet in October for Auto Club Speedway. Hopefully we get more than 3 runs.

nah, 3rd gear at 77 mph is just the low-mid 3rd. mid-high 3rd and all of 4th is my car's sweet spot. I'll take a look later today when i go home and see what mph my car actually tops out in each gear. (except 5th gear, since that takes me to 155mph with still 1K rpms before i hit redline
