The Hancook V12's seem like a good tire which aren't too expensive. I guarantee you'll drop at least .2s off your time at Qualcomm. My only complaint is their soft sidewall, but upping the PSI fixes that.

I just can't see V12's dropping .2 off my E.T unless the compound and sidewall are that soft. With .2 off the ET, those are results of adding drag radials in the 1/8th.

I've had 4 different types of tires in the rear so far. Goodyear RS-A's (crappiest tire even known to man in the rain btw), Pirelli Pzero Asym, Michelin PS2 and my current cheapo's. They've all given me around the same 60ft's. I want some nice rubber for the twisties.

I'll be using Mike's DR's tomorrow though.

^I've dropped .2s when I switched, and that was on an open diff. My tranny usually shifts too softly to chirp the tires between gears so they only helped me during the launch. They are a soft tire

go on discounttiredirect.com. They have free shipping and no tax. Then bring them to me and i'll mount them for $10 per tire.

They have nankangs for $110/ea, they have a nice stretch to them. Dunlop DZ101's also have a nice stretch at $131/ea

The Hankook V12's Herrschaft mentioned are $144 each and the soft sidewall allows them to stretch nicely as well.

Grant, do you have any V12's in 245/40/19?

I want to get rid of my Nankangs that still have a crap ton of tread left.

Had a great time tonight at the track!

Big thanks to 2/5B and Ionic, plus a few other G's and Z's for coming out to the track!

Matched my personal best ET of 8.9@80mph. Just 1 mph shy of my best mph. Not bad for a relatively warm day.
