Anyone in SD do a Door Lock/Actuator replacement?

just wondering if any of you guys from SDGs have done this DIY yet?

unlocking my driver's door with my key is embarrassing....

how much and where at? my passenger side door locking went out, i see it movin but it strugglin like its havin hard time, u know if my motor went out?

yeah i did. followed the DIY and it feels good not having to use the key (died on me a few months ago).

the only thing that cost me a lot of time was making the custom bracket to hold the 5$ actuator. i bought 2 just in case so i have a 1 spare. ill sell it to you for 6$.

yeah for sure. hit me up.

you do need a custom bracket cus its not oem. there is nothing that will hold it/align it without this bracket. it has to be mounted. just go to home depot, and get some ~2" flat sheet metal that is strong but also bendable. its like 2-3$.

ive only had mine for a week since the install so i cant personally say its reliable. it sounds strong though. you can hear it when you lock/unlock. only time can tell... kinda why i bought 2 just in case i screwed up the first time, it died, or my passenger side went out. on the DIY thread "manny" says his has been good for a while....
