Sooo ive been browsing the g35 forums since last december to try and learn a little bit more about the car before I actaully bought one. This is going to be my first car im buying and a HUGE upgrade from my 96 saturn that i got when i was 16 rofl. (and yes im paying it all myself not the parents =x) I've always had my eyes on a g35 as my first luxury/sports car. I love it.
I've been trying to learn as much as i can before i actually got my hands on a g and ofc needed the money to afford one. Im from san diego and this friday im going to be buying my g! and im super excited after a long wait/search.
First off i wanted to get your guy's opinion on the price of the car i was buying. Its 06 IP coupe with aero and premium package. It has 35,000 miles and me and a couple buddies went down to check it out a couple of nights ago and it looks flawless inside and out. When i checked Carfax/Autocheck they both came up with clean titles. The guy had it priced at $20,500 but I managed to lower it to 19,500 and on top of that he was goanna say he sold me the car for 10k at the dmv for a lower price on registration. (prolly 10k or something) The car is also coming with 1 year warranty still left on it. I feel its good price but just wanted to hear your guyss opinions.
Also was wondering how often you guys do meets or just get togther to kick it since i would like to go, and learn a little bit more about where to go in sd for parts maintence cleaning supplies installations etc.
ty in advance for answers and opinions.

2. You can get him to go lower than $19,500. Everyone is havinga hard time selling their G35's.
3. If you attempt to notate a purchase $ value lower than what you truly purchased the vehicle for, you are committing fraud. NOTE THE APPROPRIATE PURCHASE PRICE ON THE BILL OF SALE.
4. We do random meets and we had been doing bi-weekly thursday night meets until Oh Hella JDM decided to start failing. These meets will resume this coming Thursday, so definitely check the SD GTG thread.

^^^ ill get back on the meets and locations... ill make a meet for next thurs.... ill get location time etc....
thanks for opinions and info guys. I tried to get lower just didnt wanna go to low since it seems hes been getting alot of offers and i feel its a deal. I've been searching pricing on craigslist/autotrader/cars.com/ and even here on the forums and theres some good deals on these forums but usualy too far away. And the pricing i get on the other three sites usally have 04 03 for really cheap, but the 05+ with 50k+ miles are selling for $20k+. (been wanting 05+ with 40k or less miles for less then $20k) Been looking at pricing since begining summer and still seems the same =/.
Also ty for info on the bill of sale sdgen, ima first time buyer so little confused with everything. And yea im planing on looking at the car tommorrow again during the day before any transactions are made (so i can actually see the flaws compared to at night) and prolly taking another test drive for fun.
I'll keep posted on the sd gtg thread to see when you guys meeting up again, I would really like to go out sometime. And ty for the welcome!

since you have the car now.... there will be a scheduled meet this coming thurs
^yea the car is fckin hot man i love it! but next thurs i got school from 930-210 then work 3-11 =/ worst day for me but hopefully i can make next one unless u guys decide to do it really early or really late in the day.
Nah, no where near that haha. I'm a bellman =) I work at the catamaran down in pb u guys noe that place? But yea it's a good job for the most part. Mad tips.
so i took off my front liscense plate coulpe days ago and found a hole behind it, i guess thats where they do the towing from. Anyways went to infiniti dealership to find the cap that goes over it and cost me 20 ish? without it being painted. So im curious do u guys know any places that do a good paint job on bumpers. I think ima have the whole thing repainted because it looks like the liscense plate scratched up the paint a little also i heard they can cover up the 2 screw holes instead of using plugs? I got qouted at infiniti dealership $275 for the whole bumper painted + the cap but was curious u guys know of any other place that do a good job for a better price? or is this price reasonable? (color of car = ivory pearl)
That's an excellent price for paint on a front bumper. I just paid $450 to have both my fenders painted.

that's a great price for the dealership. If you want a tow hook cover and you haven't bought it yet i have an unpainted one i can sell you for $15. I bought it to cover the hole but ended up having it molded in along with the license plate holes.Originally Posted by justint
