Keep my 18s or go 19s

I need to replace my stock rear tires soon. So I am debating whether to keep my stock 18's and just replace the tires or go with all new wheels setup (19's). Upgrading the wheels would also mean lowering the car, not necessary, but I would want to. This would obviously the more expensive route.

There is about 50% left on my front tires so I hate to see that go to waste. So if I just replaced the rear tires, they will prob. wear out all at the same time. THEN upgrade to 19's.

BTW, anyone here have a set of 245/45/18 for sale?

everything about 19s are expensive but they look so good. id even go 20s unless roads are really bad around you. tires are cheaper then. you can always try to get some used rears for cheap so you can wait and decide.

Keep you stock 18 as spares and buy 19 or 20 setup.

thanks for the link, great price. Not too sure of the quality of those tires though. Also, if I am keeping the fronts, I may need replacements with similar tread patterns....not sure why, but I have heard of this.

I do agree that 19's will be a more expensive setup and replacements, but seems like they are more abundant in the used market than the 18's. I have even looked in the 350z, E46 and Benz forums; 19's are def. more popular.

07 Sedan

I've been looking in the used market, there are a lot of wheels but most offsets are for coupes.

There a set of Progressive MEs that I would love.

he doubled his asking price though.

just called this guy, he has a shop near my work. He can get just about any tires. His prices are about the same as tire rack but balanced and mounted.

I did think about keeping my 18's as spare, but would still have to buy (rear) tires for it.

As much as I would love to go with bigger wheels and lowering the ride. I will replace the rears with a fresh pair (RE760) and let the whole set wear down. I will continue to look for the right set of wheels though. Will definately upgrade before the set wears thru.

This first time that I have gone this long without upgrading the wheels or lowering the car.
