No soda for me, too.
Gave it up since summer 08. 7 months without anything carbonated... juice, tea, and a LOT of water.
Vitamin Water is a retarded marketing scheme. There's practically NOTHING healthy about Vitamin Water. You're better off with Propel.

Vitamin Water's not really worse than soda, but it's up there. It's definitely a rip off. $2-3 for that lil' bottle of water, sugar, artificial coloring, and a few random inessential vitamins.
Whatever. To me, it's just social status in our heads. I believe people drink bottled water and vitamin water in hopes to show off that they're either health-conscious... they've got money to spend on bottled/vitamin water... or both.

Me, I clip on a small sports bottle of water on my backpack and carry it around my university campus, refilling at water fountains. I've saved literally over a hundred per semester than buying drinks. With that money... I buy a large bottle of multi-vitamins and take that every morning... then I grab myself a healthy lunch and dinner to get the rest of my essential vitamins.

Besides, bottled water isn't really "better" than water from the tap. Does it taste better? Probably not... it's just in your head. Do a blind taste test. Can you tell the difference?
Take a look at this video. It's worth the 7:31 minutes. Shows how ignorant and oblivious most people are.
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/S2KUCgvemjM&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/S2KUCgvemjM&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

"In last place, by far... with almost half the tests saying the taste was bad... was the most expensive water... the fancy French stuff... Evian. Evian had no comment."

"Bottom line, if you buy bottled water because you think it's healthier than tap... test after test show there's no evidence of that. And if you buy fancy brand because you think they taste better, you're probably just buying the hype."
