go back to the street and see if their are any No U-turn signs. if their are
then no reason to go to court about it.

^if he's driving record is fairly clean, he can goto court and plea no contest, then he would have to just pay court fees, which are usually lower than the ticket

how much is the ticket for?

worse comes to worse i pay w/e it is, but i dont want the points =\

I don't know in Broward but in Miami-Dade County before the actual trial you are going to have a hearing with a judge. He will ask you if you want to take it to trial or resolve it right there for a reduced fine and no points to the license. Unless you have very good reason to beleive the officer won't go the the court try to solve the case right there. If you send a payment for a fine that's like pleading quilty and points will go to your record for sure.

a laywer is usually btwn $60-70. so that might be the easiest thing to do, then you dont have to worry bout anything

if not just go to the pre-trial and plea no contest

IMO lawyer works if you have good record. Still I've seen them doing the same you'll do on court... standing there and pleading no contest. At the end you'll have to pay the attorney fees plus the reduced fine. Believe me I've been more than a few times there... I learned to drive the hard way.

I would use an attorney.Last time I tried to fight a ticket myself was for no motorcycle endorsement, the judge thru the book at me. Lawyer is always a good investment.

The court office here in orlando is the worst! You have to wait in a line outside in the heat
to pay your tickets.
