So I started my morrning off on the wrong foot again. I got a ticket, but it wasn't even a good one... I had to go to pompano this morrning before work so I planned adequite time to be to work on time... I did this so I would not have to rush, boost, speed etc.

I guess that in Pompano certain random side streets such as 5th and Copans you is a No right turn on Red. I came to a complete stop look around to make sure there was no traffic comming in my direction and made my right hand turn.

Out comes Johnny law 2 motorcycle cops hidding under a tree. I know that the cop was doing his job etc. I mean come on a what is the purpose oh no right turn on red? and then to only have it on certain interscetions. It should be all or nothing, IMO

He asked me if I knew what I did wrong and obiously at the time I did not. He pointed and showed me the baby sign on the sidewalk next to some bushes.

I just really feel that with the tax dollars that we spend, that they could be doing something much more productive in the community. I dont really care about the ticket its just the fact they will sit there for a couple hours bust 4-5 hard working people out of 200+ dollars for some terrible traffic law that only applys sometimes.

end rant.

They have to fill their quota some how. LOL
Sucks you got a ticket, they should at least make the sign bigger and visible.

sorry to hear man. seems like a lot of the "law" is more about making $ then protecting anyone. with 3 tickets in the last 2 months, ive decided i need to really slow down. while ive always made excuses, i know that a few of the times ive been pulled have been my fault. however, there are a couple times where it was for trivial crap and that annoys me too.

Woah, they mean business! My driving on suspended was only $148 and I would think that's worse than turning right on red...

LOL the cop was hiding in the trees 20 ft after the light, they knew that people that do not use that light often will make a right on red there as it is the only one like it that I have seen in the area.

Honestly I would have much rather got a ticket for speeding or something that I felt I did wrong and deserved.
