^Thanks bro. Car is scheduled for paint on Wednesday. I'm finalizing the paint theme tomorrow. Anyone have any inputs on my satin and gloss debates?

Ok, so there has been a hold up due to paint. I received my paint this Monday and was called in to check it out. Saw it and it looked black and I don't want black or anything that resembles black. I contacted Glex to go over what exactly the paint should look like and he walked me through the paint and gave me the PPG paint code, although I am using BASF.

Shop then painted another color card in Ferrari titanium which looks like a lighter DG (BS?). Do not want at all. I'm set on Grigio Silverstone and I know that the color they got is wrong.

Today they shot a damaged fender to see if the color lays out thin and falls out into a silver cause the color does flop in the sun. Well, that was a negative. I went to Ferrari of Palm Beach with the painted fender where I met Bud, awesome and very helpful guy, and he helped me match color codes and compare colors. Needless to say the color was indeed wrong BUT it did match a car in there. A Maserati. Seeing as Ferrari own Maserati their must've been some sort of confusion or mixup on colors.

It's suppose to look like this
<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZDJUqQD1lU4&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZDJUqQD1lU4&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

So now back to waiting for my paint again. My car is sadly waiting for her paint

Tian the color code I gave you is not PPG
It is the color code from Ferrari themselves.

I gave that paint code to PPG and Spies Hecker and they both
come back as Grigio Silverstone.

Sorry to hear about your troubles
did you try what i told you about getting the half pint?

Your right. I have the code from Ferrari themselves. I didn't go that route. I'm just going to wait till they get it right cause as you can see the color is way off. Just annoyed that my car is 1 week past due and counting

Yes. Over the summer I'll do jambs and under the hood. Engine bay will stay the stock dull color. I'm not worried about it. It's not that drastic of a color change and I'm not willing to shell 3k for the motor pull and paint. Gotta draw the line somewhere

Little update. My rental car was smashed in the rear by a taxi driver not paying attention. He was cited for carless driving. Fortunately, I have rentals insurance on my coverage. Still have to pay $100 but its better than the full deductible. My insurance will go after his to reimburse my loss. What a PITA. Smh

On the bright side of things the paint has been matched and is going in the booth tomorrow. Paint looks amazing!

I will have pics of the paint going on and if you guys want i have pics of the damage on the rental
