Cold Air Intakes

Whats up guys I just joined today and I got a question. I've been wanting to put an intake in my 2005 G35 coupe but people are telling me different things. I've heard don't go with cold air because if you suck up water ur screwed and the people from the shop tell me you would have to be going thru about a foot of water and be accelerating thru it to do any damage to the engine. What are ur guys' opinions, cold air or short ram?

lol what a fail at a thread ok ill be nice before people start flaming you this topic has been covered 129438y12iu4871346123 times just search and unless u plan on driving thru small rivers or canals you wont have to worry about water getting in thru ur intake

alot of people go with a ztube just cuz... i dont feel like explaining it

i personally run a ztube with a apexi filter FTW

heres like 10+ pages of intake stuff guy dynoed most of the intake mods out there

Just go with either a Ztube and a aftermarket filter in your oem airbox, or upgrade to the rev-up airbox for even better performance. The OEM boxes have been proven to provide the best performance.

With that said, you can also go with Ztube and JWT Popcharger (cone filter type) for an increased agressive sound but negligible performance gains.

I know that you have only been here for a few days, but try getting familiar with the search button, you can find the anwer to most of your questions there. Also, to sound like you know what you're talking about, just reply "drop it and add spacers" to any thread you are browsing.
