Scared For Installation Of Plenum Spacer

So i bought the spacer and it should be here by the end of tmrw .. my dad hate that i bought it but oh well my money anyways! ..... anyway and ive looked online and ive seen that if not installed correctly it causes vacumn leaks and can cause bad idling and a CEL ... plus theres the problem of if im putting it on and not getting a mechanic to do it stripping the lower plenum bolts (hole or w.e) .... my dad also told me it burns more gas -__- ... idrc about that but can some one clarrify this for me that had this done to there car

I agree, you should get someone to do it for you. If you can't even search, what hope do you have of doing your own mods?
