I need a transmission tech in Miami!!

Hey guys, i posted this in the southeast section but i figured it would get more attention here considering most people live near miami in this subforum.

Well the story is that my car hasn't turned on in 3 months. It's been to three shops (including Green Goblin's and an Infiniti Dealership) and the problem has been harder to fix than expected. The diagnostics show that the TCM isn't sending power so the car isn't turning on. It's as if the TCM is making the car believe it's in drive so it wont turn on. Danny doesn't work on transmissions so i went ahead and took it to an Infiniti Dealership up by him and they told me the TCM is messed up and that means the entire tranny needs to be replaced. Quoted me $7000 for a new one and $4000 for a used transmission. Both are ridiculously overpriced so now my car is sitting in front of my house. I can't wrap my head around why the entire transmission needs to replaced instead of just the valve body and integrated TCM, so now im looking for a nissan transmission specialist down here in Miami to make the final verdict. If anyone knows a good transmission specialist in Miami please post! I really need to get the car running.

Thanks in advance.

What Year is your car? If its 04.5+ Its inside the Tranny, which I assume is your case which sucks. btw which dealer did you go to down here?

I dont really have anything else to say other than try to find a wrecked G same year and swap it in. You can also try contacting Phil@Grubbs to see if he can help you out.

I have a 2007 coupe. But the TCM is just inside the valve body so why cant i just pick up a used/new valve body? I mean Danny (GreenGoblin) removed the valve body from the tranny and showed me the TCM.... i can't wrap my head around having to get a new tranny instead of replacing the valvebody/TCM. I mean it should be able to be reprogrammed for my tranny?

and thanks. I'm going to talk to Phil.

There shouldn't be any reason to replace the whole trans. Find a new or used valve body and have it installed.

How many miles are on the car?

The car's got 40,000 miles and that is why I refuse to believe that the whole transmission needs to.be replaced. And the dealership I went to told me nothing about the warranty so I thought I didn't have any.would my car being slammed void my powertrain warranty?

it's not as simple as that the tcm requires programming

Which dealer did you go to? Lowering only voids Suspension stuff, does not effect the transmission. You should be covered if your still under warranty.

If I can't get it done at a dealership, I will talk to him. Thank you!

I wish it were that easy to raise my suspension. My shocks are set for my height, so i would have to get them readjusted.

If anybody has a stock suspension set they would be willing to lend me for about a week, i would be more than willing to give you some cash so i don't have to deal with the lowered B.S. when i get to the stealership. Thanks.

u don't have to raise it up.. they height has nothing to do with the transmission... Take your car back to the place u bought it and see if the warranty is still on the car.. if it is.. they will fix it for u.. Stop dicking around.. the more time u take to get it there.. could be the time it's NOT COVERED under warranty

I am pretty sure I have a whole stock suspension which I would be happy to lend you. I told you, you dont need the whole trans just need a new tcm, and have it programmed. I do not have a consult II or I would have been more than happy to do it.

Did you ever speak to Jason at ATF again?

Reagardless, if you need to use that stock suspension lmk and come pick it up.
