Brake light under hard braking normal?

Brake light under hard braking normal?

yesterday i was forced to do some hard braking to avoid a accident.. in doing so i noticed a minor noise like my ebrake was enabling also i saw my break light turn on.. is this normal?

no that is likely your brake fluid low and sloshing around in the mas cylinder setting off the brake light. You prob need new pads.

i had my brake pads changed.. fronts about 3-4 months ago rear about 1 month ago.. maybe they bleed the brakes too much and forgot to refill the fluid is there anyway i can check? the brake light only comes on during HARD braking.. also if i am low on fluid is it ok just to add more from the cap?

only top off fluid AFTER you visually inspect the brake pads....

as the pads wear down the fluid level drops.....
