Vortech Installed!

Well my Vortech kit was finally finished on Friday and I couldn't be happier with the results. The install went smoothly and the only problem we ran into was that when we first started up the car we realized the cylinders were misfiring. We hooked up to the OBII and we then realized that when we re-installed the spark plugs we put the coil packs in the wrong order. After that the car ran awesome. It pulls now in every gear. The only thing I am not sure about though is that I think th BOV is releasing to much air. I have it set to about 6 threads showing which is what people are recomending but when I drive around at regular speeds with the throttle not to open the valve is still open releasing air. Even when I go to WOT it takes a second or two for it to close. Is this normal? I would like to know so I can have everything perfect before I dyno tune it tomorrow.

Thumbs up Wow!

That is a really slick set up! Only thing that worries me, is that air cleaner a bi7ch to change? Is there a way to move the air intake out of the hot engine compartment? Love the install, hope to do one myself someday.

The air filter is easy to take off . The front inner fender well come off easy , you just push that filter down into the fender well . You also can clean the oil squirter for the blower at the same time

Looks great! But next time you have that bumper off get that intercooler straight. I have five threads showing and it works great.

I was going to do a cold intake setup with the filter but I figured to put it right for now to make sure everything was right.

As for the intercooler I tried for like half an hour to get it in the middle but I couldn't. I am a bit of a perfiectionist as well but I wouldn't move because of where the pipe from the MAF sensor leads too. If I put it in the middle the pipe that connects the intercooler to the MAF pipe would not line up. I am going to try again once I get it back on a lift though.

Awesome ride!! Looks great!! Really like those rims what kind are they? Also I was wondering if you've had any problems with tires rubbing with it sitting that low?

Wow, that looks great! Who did the install/tuning? I hope you come out to the Florida G35 Club meet on June 11th at Markham Park and show off your new mod.

Congrats on your set up. Are you running on the out of the box tune or did you have it tuned? Any numbers yet?

Dont ask me how I know this but that pipe that runs down to the intercooler might need to be turned around.
