2005 6MT Coupes.. +18wHP +22/29wTQ!? - A Thanks To Tony, Motordyne Engineering

Heres a little teazer for you guys

These are two 2005 G35 Coupes stock dyno after Tony from Motordyne Engineering got to them.

Below are two seperate cars on two different days. The before/after tests were all conducted in the same day within 3-4hours on the same dyno. enjoy

We'll start with my 05 Coupe =)

Now for the other

As you can see we lost some power in the last 200ish RPMs.. about 2-5HP.. But hows that for all that mid range power - where most of the driving including auto-x is done in..

For those of you that do not know what Motordyne is.. they're the company that just did a large group buy for plenum spacers with a cooling kit

So, is this something new for the 05? As I remember reading, the 05's are Rev up so the same won't hold true for the 03-04's? Is this a "Test" for something that will come out for the 05's then? Enquiring minds want to know!

I remember reading that the throttle body closes to about 90% near redline. I wonder if this has a greater effect on the plenum spacer which causes that dip at the top. I think it would be interesting to see a 2005 with the technosquare or uni chip with this plenum spacer.

I witnessed this phenomenon yesterday.

Alex's car made a disgusting amount of improvement in tq and hp gain within the middle of the power band.

This mod alone for the 05's has singlehandedly turned the stagnant performance of the stock 05 to beastly status. 30+ tq? 20+ hp? I saw it myself and still can't believe it!

I'm afraid to see what a set of headers and exhaust will add to the car.
Afraid cuz i have a heavily modified 04 NA Coupe.
This jump start in HP & TQ from a single mod could propel the 05 Rev-Up engine's gains from other mods well beyond the 03/04 crowd.

The only modification done to Alex's car is an intake.
Otherwise it is a bone stock 056MT Coupe.

As another "Tony" once said... "They're GREEEAAAAT!"

This mod will only work on 05 models.

I am also the other beta tester in texas with 93 octane gas. I am installing the products today and will have a dyno done again in a week or so after the ecu learns everything again. My before dyno is posted under technical.
