Have a Question/s About Wheels/Tires/Offsets/Camber/Etc? Ask here::

Ok so maybe to prevent all these threads that have been poping up lately asking the same questions about offsets, widths, tires, camber, etc. I figures we could try and clean it up by just throwing all the same general questions into 1 thread.

Mods/Staff, if you think this is a good idea, please Sticky this

If i plan on tracking my car how wide should my wheels be? i plan on 18's but like 18x9.0 front 18x10.0 rear?

What about offsets? i want no rubbing or if they tuck i dont want the lip getting all messed up

I been debating a long time about this:

my setup
oem 19's
2455/255 Falkens 452
15/20mm spacers
Teins Z h-techs

I been considering upping to 20 front 25 rear and doing spring mount mod lowering just 3/16 of inch.

wondering if i'll need to roll my fenders?

with oem camber settings and running a 255, yes you will need to do a slight roll with a 25 in the rear!!
It most likely won't rub on normal driving but going in and out of driveways and such, you will rub!

thanks for the info.. kinda figured that, now im postive about it.

guess ill just got with spring mount mod and just do a slight drop of 1/8 or 3/16 of an inch. Its a minimal drop but with over 1/2 tank of gas it will look much lower.

Nitto tire width = 10.94"
Falken tire width = 10.7"

so about 1/4" thinner, looking at a few mm less, so depending on how much you're rubbing it could work!

What kind of tracking? Drag racing or Auto x ? Setups will vary.

^Best way to see is go in a driveway about half way at an angle, then get out and look at the rear tire and where it's sitting, it will be up in your fender, you'll be able to see how hard it's hitting.

maybe in addition to this a simple, "Official wheel/tire suspension specs thread" then you require people to post informative pictures (2-3) that show off wheel offset effectiveness and tire sidewall fitment etc and they give a simple list description of what wheel specs and suspension specs they have

example:
Front Wheel Size (include offset): 18x8+30
Rear Wheel Size (include offset): 18x8+30
Front Tire Size: 225/45/18
Rear Tire Size: 245/45/18
Front and rear spacer size (please include brand): 5mm front 15mm rear
Suspension type: G35 spec Tokico D-spec with 350Z Tein H-tech springs
Alignment info: -1.5deg front camber with -.05deg front toe, -1.8deg rear camber with 0 toe
Fender roll required: rear rolled and pulled slightly

***the following is just an example of an informative picture, not representative of the info above. note it clearly shows tire stretch, ride height and even offset effectiveness:

It would help as long as members contribute, also if you switch up wheels often, do not update your old post, add a new one just in case there was something unique in your old one.
