D-Specs with Eibach Pro-Kit Springs?

My Car: 2005 G35 Sedan 6MT

After looking over the great suspension thread and dozens of others I believe I would like to get the Tokico D-Spec DSP-7 struts as an addition to my current Eibach Pro-Kit Springs.

Would anyone advise against this?

Should I be going with the DSP-9's because of the shorter rods on the rear shocks?

Do the eibach springs mount up well on the front d-spec struts?

If you have ran this setup please share your experience.

I drive 60 miles a day. (50 freeway, 8 urban, 2 rough city roads)

Thanks to all!

^ this is my current setup. though, i run eibach pro-kit springs for a 350Z. IMO, it works very well, though others have also found the regular tokico HP shocks (blue) work well with pro-kit springs too.

if you're running pro-kit springs for a sedan, get the DSP-7 kit, as the rear spring is not as short as the Z version. i would set the damping rates on all 4 shocks to -3.5 or -4 from full stiff, initially, then adjust to your taste from there.

in order to adjust the rear shocks, you'll need adjuster cables, which I have a spare pair of. PM me if you need them.

I had this exact setup for about 20K miles, per advice from dahkyne. I was very pleased with the performance the Pro Kit/D-Spec (DSP-7) combo. I chose the D-Specs over the HP shocks for the dampening adjustment (which I did use). Everything mounts up fine, no problem.

I too have the d-spec shocks paired with 350z h&r springs. Set to 3.5F and 4R, they are bit stiff for my daily 75 mile commute so I will need to adjust a tad softer. But for spirited driving the setup is perfect IMO.

Also, people have talked about the rear adjuster cables being needed, however on my 03.5 they are easily reachable behind the back seats. Pull the seats forward, lift the seat flap and take off the black strut cover. Not sure if this varies per year/model though

NO they do not lower the car anymore. The purpose of good shocks are to keep the pressure of your tires on the road even.

I installed the DSP-7's this weekend and it is a definite improvement over the stock red sport oem tokico's. They fit like a glove since Tokico is an OEM manufacturer for the Infiniti sport suspension.

Thanks again to all.

Can you share pics of your car? I have the coupe prokit up front on my car and would like to see what they look like on all four corners.
