The San Diego Summer GTG at Costco on Carmel Mnt. Road tonight, was well, ridiculous.

Cops anyone?

We were all just chilling around our cars when all of the sudden two cops pull up, lights and all of course. Ask everyone to stand by their cars with their license, registration, and proof of insurance. One by one they checked our cars, mine was first thankfully, and nailed us all for stupid thing. I got nailed for no front plate and gdup35sedan got nailed for headlight overlays and tint. Luckily I didnt get it for my tint.

Anyone else get nailed? I got one of the officer's badge number and name. Talk about harassment...

 

They got me for having illegal " BOV " and " exhaust ". Gotta see ref. Oh well, pay to play in Cali.

 

So lame. I cant believe them. How stupid. No front plate, gay.

My plates are always on. They made us roll-up front windows to check for tint. Then you had to turn your car on, Man my HKS exhaust is not even loud at idle, and was cited for loud exhaust.

 

Damn, that sucks. Did they make everyone pop the hood? Being FI myself, I feel for ya. Seeing the "ref" is my worst nightmare.

This is why I pretty much just go to Fusion meet only, cops leave us alone.

Yeah, they made owners stand next to their cars. Then you had to open your hood for visual. Man only thing you see under my hood is that damn BOV. We had plans on hiding it under the front bumper. Too late now. Good thing you didnt show. That Tnetics turbo is front center. Best part of Fusion meet is its on a tuesday, so having a meet on saturday evening is probably not a good thing.

 

They got you for your HKS just from starting it up?! Makes me nervous about my Injen.

i guess carmel mt wouldnt be a future spot huh?? sorry to hear about all the stories guys. hopefully its not deja vu on the 20th....

 

If cops didnt show, it would have been a good size meet. Alot of cars was still showing up and driving by checking to see what the commotion was. Regarding 20th meet, man I dunno now.

 

So are you taking your turbo kit and exhaust off to go see the state ref?
