im looking for options for quartermile strips in so cal.. preferably something as legit as carlsbad used to be (elevationwise at least).
the next street legal event cali speedway is having is dec. 2... is there anywhere else i can go to? im not a big fan of the crowds that place gets and the elevation isnt the greatest.. i have new tires and i want to have some fun!

We are going on december 8th. Eventhough elevation sucks there, there is hardly any kind of line as far as racing goes.

that may be around the time of my finals week.. if its not, then im game! i'll do both cali speedway and lacr..
how does that high of an elevation affect your times? also, hows the wind? im not sure if im thinking about the same track but i heard something about lotsa windresistence somewhere.. like strong gusts blowing against the track..

You can always correct for the elevation. Usually, its .97 of your ET and 1.02 of ur finishing MPH. DaveB is the pro at this stuff.

uhmm i know a few marines have told me they raced on the air strip over there since their cool with the MPs...but i dunno if they would let random people they dont know...i havent talk to those guys in a while...bu till try to email them or call em and see if there MP friends are still at miramar so they could use the air strip
