Yeah, I was looking forward to racing with Ted again - It’s been quite a while and both of our cars have gone thru some changes... sorry I couldn’t make it guys - too many things happening right now.

I look forward to your results (Wally, I hope you brought the times down from what you told me on the phone)....

what did you guys run tonight? I should be up and running strong in a month or so, I think I have a broken piston ring.

Can you guys tell a difference with your new mods at the track?

I'm so tired I can bearly type...

Man, I need some mental experience, because my head plays games with me. Instead of getting better, I get worse.

For whatever reason, I kept on missing or lagging on 3rd half of the 8 runs. My shift into second is lighting fast, but 3rd is horrible

I know its all in my head, since it only happens when I think about it.

Anyway it was good being out there. Lots of runs (8 or 9).

Ted ran a 9.006 (can't get any closer to 8's than that!) and Wally ran a 9.12 (not exactly sure if Wally got a better time than 9.1).

Either way, both Wally and Ted have shown to hit 9.0, which means with a little better driving (which isnt easy to do when you already hit 2.1 or 2.2), 8's are possible with their current setup.

Well, nice talking to you Ted!

I think I'll see Wally & Kenny on the track soon... it's ******* addicting!

Oh yeah, my best time was a 9.5 on a 2.3

PS. Wally, with your Headers & HFC + TS, you will walk me even more everytime and easily see 8's.... until I catch up

.

Dude, I am still tired!!! lol not enough sleep, my fault lol

My best run of the night was 9.147 @ 79.26MPH with a 2.245 60'.
2nd best was a 9.167 @ 78.45mph with a 2.172 60'.

I got in 7 runs for the day/night. Told ya Henry we were gonna do 7 lol

It was good seeing everyone out there. 4 Gs, well there were a few more there but 4 Gs from Driver.

Nice to see Ted again, it's been a while.
Kenny, thanks for coming out from Valencia, it was quite a drive for you but my fault for telling you a little too late. I'll give you a heads up at least a day or 2 notice next time!
Henry, you're addicted! lol At least it's better at the track than the streets.

I will keep everyone posted if I end up going next week. I'll know for sure once I get my tune.

I got there a little around 5:20pm. Launches sucked, since they force you through the water box with too much water and none of us run slicks. Its like driving thru an alley to the line with all the crud there.

Runs were:
#1: 9.451 / 76.00mph @ 85degrees - 1/4m conver ~ 14.649 (straight off the fwy)
#2: 9.201 / 81.90mph @ 84 deg - 1/4m conver ~ 14.261
#3: 9.006 / 80.37mph @ 76 deg - 1/4m conver ~ 13.959 (2.152 - 60')
#4: 9.268 / 77.87mph @ 77 deg - 1/4m conver ~ 14.365 <-- Wally beat me
#5: 9.303 / 77.35mph @ 65 deg - 1/4m conver ~ 14.419

On 5th run, I had an awesome launch, but because I saw the red light I let up. If I hadn't, I think that would of been the best run of the night. Oh well. Lots of cars there.... took some pics which I will post up later. there was a guy with an old Z that he stuck a Maxima VQ35 into

tacos were good too, but smallish.

Good seeing you again Wally... nice meeting you Kenny and Henry. Met a couple of other G's not on the board. Mario... where are you?

Nice times Ted, you should of still pushed it for the time even though you lost the race.

Did you do any runs with your cutouts open?

Ted, these coversions suck. Trust me. They seem to be more accurate with 4 cylinder engines with no top end. Because I've compared them with my actual 1/4 mile times from LACR & California Speedway, and they are wayyyy too conservative. Maybe too much top end for us

In reality, if this exact track were a 1/4 mile and you would have done everything else right for the remaining 1/8 mile, you would have pulled a 13.7 or 13.6.

The bad part is, this isnt a 1/4 mile track. And we all know 13's NA isnt possible in LACR

I've checked every single 1/4 mile I've done, and compared to 1/8 mile of the 1/4 mile to most conversion charts; they always seem to be .4 too convervative. And this is with a stock G35 6MT... (probably even better for you)

That was a good run!

can't do LACR, as I have Temecula/ZCCIV show this Sunday, and Chula Vista NighShift next weekend.

I'm not running with the cut-outs open, especially at Irwindale as the 1/8 is just too short. I can't open them before the top of 2nd or I lose all my low end torque.

Ya, shutting down on that last run was stupid... as I don't think of any of these runs as "races". Winning/losing doesn't come to mind unless of course I'm running against another G or Z - or some baller-BMW Then it's just good fun.

Don't know why I let off, red means stop & my brain is getting old. I put 2 & 2 together and it didn't equal keep going for about a second or so. oh well....

lastly... if eeryone uses the x1.55 conversion, then it really doesn't matter. The best run I've ever had was with a G-Tech over on the back side of Valley and Lemon in the transportation corridor (nice straight aways ) and that was a 13.81 on vapors, no backseat, trunk gutted, on my 17's. So you'll probably never get an accurate measurement, but as long as I get the giggle-factor I'm happy

Crawford - best was 9.123 with 2.168 60'... avg at least 1/2 tenth better than pre HFC (that’s averaging about 5 runs each with similar conditions... even daily driving I noticed more trq...
