but there is no chance in hell that i'm going to drive over 6 hours (round trip) and put 360 miles (round trip) on my -3.0 cambered tires JUST for a meet.
since it'll mostly be freeway driving, i can ALMOST get there on one tank - that's about 50+ bucks right there (at current gas prices...it's pretty cheap right now). that + the 25 dollar fee to get in equals 75 bucks. sorry man, but i've got better things to spend my money on. don't mean to sound like a cheap-@$$, but hey...that's what i am.
i wonder if grant or anyone else from SD are going. if they are, then props to them. they're real troopers. it's about a 9.5 hour/565 mile drive for them.

San Diego is just about 360 miles to Santa Maria, usually about 5 1/2 hrs. I can completely understand not wanting to put wear and tear on your car. Ya gas prices are "lower" right not but I figure after the 4th of July they will start inching up again for the Labor Day weekend. I think if people carpool up it's great, we want everyone to meet and if your car is here cool, if not just eat and have fun!
