Are you sure you don't mean the 50D? Dude, the 5D with a lens + accessories will run you over $3,000

Those are definitely more for someone who's looking for a career in photography.

^No the 5D. The price went down due to the MarkII coming out and that thing runs about $2600+
You can get a 5D for ~$1500 and im just gonna start off with a nifty 50

Jon(Thinkdiesel) is a photographer for Elite Model agency he's accually the one who convinced me to shy away from nikon and pic up a full frame canon like the 5D. He's gonna help me find a good deal on one so...
I was planning on spending about $2k anyways for the D80 + Lens's so this is not far off. Like i said I'm not planning on upgrading for a very long time so i'd rather just start off with this rather then go through the hassle of trying to sell body's.

I thought you were referring to the Mark II. But still, good luck finding the 5D for less than 1800 brand new without a lens!

A better lens is more important than the differences between bodies like a 40d compared to a 5D. Especially for someone who's not going in to photography as a career.

Same here. I need to get my hands on that EF-S 10-22 lens. That would be a kick a$$ lens for car meets

Damn I guess you were that sure that you were going with Nikon huh!

I would have had this camera already a year ago if it weren't for the G. I need to lay low for a good 6 months on the G.
