That's bench racing

I see S2k's at the drag strip all the time. There were a good amount of them during the last private drag event I attended. And stock ones were running mid to high 14's. The stock G35's that went with us on the same day were also running ~mid to high 14's depending on the driver and tranny.

If you read a few threads about SoCal tracks over at S2ki, you will never hear about a stock AP1 or AP2 hitting 13's.

Those that are running high 13's are doing them at ideal places. At an ideal track like that, im pretty sure a stock 6MT would also do high 13's if properly driven.

UpRev does most of the tuning, And after so many cars that have been done with similar mods, he just has to load the maps now and configure stuff.
That wouldn't be a dyno tune.

Certified UpRev tuners have their own UpRev software to use for tuning. They do the tuning themselves. It's nice to see your tuner doing everything in front of you. Kinda makes me want to learn how to tune cars

we need to talk in real life, but i know what you mean. GTM calls their tune gtm custom ecu flash, when they use osiris to go in, but once sam touches the ecu its not even osiris no more, it turns to custom tune. I dont know I been digging too much info, i might be confused. I know you think of highly of your tuner, but basic osiris even Eric Klumzyee could do it if he wanted too Other people always say they see Shawn sending back and forth emails through UpRev sometimes. Also once you load a map that you tuned before, all you have to do is configure it to the new cars spec, more fuel here less fuel there blah blah, and I think when you were watching him do that its considering him doing the tune too.

I know for the g35 HR, one of my team members went to Sean for his first try, and he couldn't even get into the ecu. Sean gave him a discount because its his first vqhr ever and see what he could do, but then sean couldn't even get into the ecu, he then tried to use the cobb tuning device accessport to try to get into the ecu, but using osiris (supposedly it works) but it didn't work either. So he just drop this car off at gtm and they're doing the tune, and sam got into the ecu no problem, loaded the map and they're good to go. My friend called UpRev and they said Sean shouldn't have had a problem...

I seen s2ks with minor bolt ons running mid-hi 14's at LACR, which if you know was prob. of of the worst tracks in the US probably, so thats pretty quick considering ****ty track + elevation. I have no doubt a s2k can hang with a G stock for stock!!!

I raced a s2k with my g35 boosted, he had a FINNNNE ASSSS Girl in his car. I gunnned it and freaking forgot to turn vdc off so i just sat there burning out and he took off 2-3 cars, I then caught up and spanked him by 4-5 cars, he rolled up with his jaws Dropped. And his grl winked at me when he wasnt looking Vtec dumbasss was like omg you can boost a g35? HAHAHAH

He asked me how much was everything total, I told him probably as much as his car costed LOL

This is definitely not something anyone can do. And yeah, you definitely sound confused as to how it works

As far as tuning the VQ35HR/VQ37VHR, it wasn't possible with the UpRev Osiris a few months ago. The whole UpRev team was even at Church's place for the last dyno day and they themselves stated they were still working on support for the HR/VHR. As of today it seems as if its already supported though.

And I wasn't about to take my car to GTM for an NA tune considering that they charge a lot more for the same results. (If I were F.I, that's a whole different story. I'd definitely go to GTM for an F.I tune).

P.S. Who ever said Shawn emails UpRev for off-the-shelf tunes during a dyno tune has no idea what they are talking about. IIRC, he uses a "base" map as a starting point and chips away from there (?)
