ARC EXHAUST: G35 03-07 CPE (Y PIPE-BACK)
ARC-ATSV35B05
Product Features
ARC is well recognized in Japan as one of the leaders of induction and exhaust technology. They are famous for their exotic titanium exhausts, diffusers, and induction systems. The ARC "Super Titan Silencer" exhausts are manufactured in full titanium, resulting in an exhaust weighing in at 12.1 lbs (5.5 kg), perhaps the lightest street/track exhaust available on the market.

A custom dual exhaust for much less than 1K is sufficient for the track. The ARC is for show (still doesn't justify its absurd price).

My fronts are 20%. That reminds me, I have to take them off asap for the fix-it tickets

As far as tuning the VQ35HR/VQ37VHR, it wasn't possible with the UpRev Osiris a few months ago. The whole UpRev team was even at Church's place for the last dyno day and they themselves stated they were still working on support for the HR/VHR. As of today it seems as if its already supported though.

And I wasn't about to take my car to GTM for an NA tune considering that they charge a lot more for the same results. (If I were F.I, that's a whole different story. I'd definitely go to GTM for an F.I tune).

P.S. Who ever said Shawn emails UpRev for off-the-shelf tunes during a dyno tune has no idea what they are talking about. IIRC, he uses a "base" map as a starting point and chips away from there (?)
Nope, not confused, made a few phone calls and took care of it. I know exactly how it works for it to be tuned, just seeing if Shawn was doing it the best way. I just made it sound confusing lol. Oops I apologize. I just thought he loaded maps of previous tunes from car to car, and just tunes it from there, not base map. I actually was going to go to school for tuning, so I know a tiny weeny bit extra info on tuning. But after seeing what they go through and how tuners get smashed and competition and everything, i decide to stick with college Sam is basically doing / helping UpRev Develop the pro-tuner software for Osiris The rest of the authorize dealers are just waiting. Yes I know I'm a GTM-***** hahahaha, but fools the God of VQs I swear.

Wow, so many post ****** in here!

Anyhow, besides the fact that it's so ridiculously expensive, I don't think any ARC exhausts for the G35 exist in North America because ARC takes so ridiculously long to make them. Some guy waited almost a year and then canceled his order.

haha, of course

But I wasn't referring to here in the wack as* strips that we have. I'm talking a good strip, low elevation and good weather. That will yield an S2k to run high 13s and a G35c to run low 14s at best.

If you read a few threads about SoCal tracks over at S2ki, you will never hear about a stock AP1 or AP2 hitting 13's.

Those that are running high 13's are doing them at ideal places. At an ideal track like that, im pretty sure a stock 6MT would also do high 13's if properly driven.

John, you missed my point.

The [stock] G35's and S2K's were running the same time at the same event. What makes you think that the S2k would be faster than a G35 6MT at another more ideal track? Colder weather doesn't make the VTEC kick up two notches over a VQ

I've had my share of runs against stock S2k's when I was stock. I can surely speak from experience. It's does not accelerate faster than a stock 6MT. And my trap speeds indicated (as expected) that I would pull on them at higher speeds than a 1/4 mile allows.

I think the problem is that there aren't nearly as many G35 drives who take their car to the drag strips (understandably). Hence, we don't hear many of them running 13's stock. Though there's been a few of them who have posted videos of themselves doing that at ideal DA's.

Anyhow, apples to oranges. They are two different cars so its not like it really matters to me. I like both for what they are

lol Henry you don't think I know that? And I already stated that above 100 they have no chance. I've had my fair share against s2ks as well, and have seen them hit the tracks, and stock for stock, I would put money on a stock s2k to beat a stock g35c in the 1/4. After that, like I said, the s2k is screwed. But I guess we can agree to disagree.

BTW are you talking about when you were stock you were trapping higher than stock s2ks, or is this after your tune? Obviously a big diff.
