well look at what happened when the banks were left to themselves who gave out loans when they shouldnt? maybe the american public is not as responsible as we all though.. maybe some people NEED the government saying wow ur a dumbass and NO we wont give u money.. too much freedom has lead us here.. i dont like government in my business but my level of responsibility is obviously not shared nor are others.. so not everyone should be treated equal

well whose to say that the hard working citizen didn't act irresponsibly? Whose to say that when he/she should NOT have gotten a loan but DID and now can't pay it off? YES it's unfortunate that they can't pay it off, it really DOES suck but I think a lot of times there is an assumption that because you are hard working that you are also just as responsible. I don't think that always happens. Also the banks should also been more responsible than to just give out so many loans without many of the requirements NOT met.
So of COURSE people shouldn't ALL be treated equally. Some people have forfeited that right and that privilege. The people who took out the loans when they SHOULD NOT HAVE should NOT be treated the same as people who WERE responsible enough to manage their money right.
However, don't think that just because I said not all should be treated equally means justifying racism or any kind of dislike or not treating someone with the respect they deserve based on NO good reason. People should be treated equally, yes, but once they show that little amount of responsibility and maturity then yes they should not be treated equally. So don't get me wrong, I'm not saying BE RACIST, DISCRIMINATE, I'm saying people should be treated by what they do and how they have been. Pretty much take responsibility for your actions and don't expect the world to owe you something and at the same time being in the world's shoes to treat people based on who they are. So of course that will mean treating different people differently.
