VQ Dyno & Tune Fest – Sat Nov 8th
Glad you all made it out. It was a pretty smooth day and there was only one car we couldn't do (because his wheel spacer was impossible to remove - even with a 250 lbs-ft impact gun). Nonetheless, we finished the day at 36 cars dyno'd (well, 2 FX, 4 Titans, 1 Armada and 29 cars). All but 3 of those were done between the hours of 8 and 4, so we were flying - I think we did 20 from 8am to noon.
I think the gas was definitely an issue for a lot of folks. Even several bone stock cars (G35s and G37s) were knocking bad, especially above 5500-6000 rpm. Even with our big fan on them (80 mph, 35k CFM).
Many thanks to Uprev, Nissan Sport and Adam's Car Care Products for sponsoring the event. I think we gave away over $2000 in prizes for the day - a number I wouldn't have even dreamed of when Mike and I first talked about doing this day. We also had a number of people take advantage of the special offers, so you'll be seeing a lot more Osiris tuned folks in the near future.
Again, thanks for coming out. We're very tired, and I'm about to head up to Bakersfield to support a few customers at the drag strip, but I'm very pleased with the day. I definitely want to do it again, but probably not too soon
. Uprev has expressed interest in doing a tuning day where we get 10-12 cars in for tuning while running 3 dynos non-stop. Could be interesting.

Great Event!!!! Thanks Shawn for hosting this and being so gracious!!! And big
to Shawn’s crew, Daniel, Todd and Ryan for their @ss kickin’ help all day long! You guys Rawk!
Its was nice to meet and talk with the UpRev guys – and I’m happy that Jared and John are interested in looking into the AT power cut issue during brake torque – sub 2.0 might be in our future after all!!! (I'll keep you guys posted on this)
The guys at Adams detail are very cool – and it looks like their product is well worth using!
And of course the infamous DaveO – good to see you friend! It’s nice having Nissan Sport supporting our local events!
Thanks for the vids & pics Marcus – I feel compelled to mention, the pull of my car on the vid was in performance (Osiris) map, which was pinging on top end… Shawn knew the car pulls better than that (since he just re-tuned me 2 weeks ago) – so we decided to try a run in “Econo” map and it was 291 (had to mention since the numbers on the vid are low).
Awesome prizes given away – and even though I didn’t win my Cipher cable at least I got a good discount from the daily special (thanks Shawn)
The turnout was killer! It was a pleasure hangin’ with the VQ brethren! A good time for sure
