Vlad, what time do you plan to get there? I think SouthbayGSedan (Darren) is going... I'm thinking of getting there a little later than norm (maybe 8:00) since the last couple times it wasn’t packed and late comers were still able to run (like you showing up at 11:00 or whatever it was).
I'd like to group with anyone else going - so let’s try to plan if possible.

)But still Alan... no one cares

Just kidding brother - we would like you to be there - but alas, you have bigger, better things to do than hang out with us.

Most of my day was data logging accelerator position, throttle position and some other stuff UpRev wanted - so they can evaluate the brake torque power cut issue... good new is they have confirmed it happens (for some reason there are ATs that apparently aren’t convinced
) - they think they know what is happening, but my data logging from launch will allow them to confirm what they suspect and hopefully come up with a fix.I had about 5 runs - 3 were while messing with the computer to data log (what a PITA to do that while staging) – 2 off those 3 were brake torque launch, ehich I already know kills my 60’... my best ended up being the 14.15 (way off of last months best of 14.002).
One thing I confirmed while data logging is the intake temps are CRAZY high with the headers... my 2nd to last run I let the car idle for most of the staging - Cipher showed 160F intake temp!!!!!
I watch as I went down the track and it only got down to 106 by the finish line (68F outside)... this is killing me! I used hood spaces and gold foil over the entire intake, heat shield, snorkel, and MAF housing - apparently it doesn’t help much. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the damn header heat
Anyway - for me it was more about logging what UpRev needs so I can launch at 2.5K rmp instead of off idle... at least when that happens it will help offset the heat-soak issue.
All in all it was cool hanging with Vlad and Tim and met a few domestic muscle cars guys (with @ss kickin' fast cars!).
Sorry you couldnt make it Wally, hopefully next time!
Tim and I are talkling about going to the track in Bakersfield - Shawn Church mentioned it to me and said its actually a fast track - 500-600 above sea level with a bunch of big trees around so the air is good (cool and oxygenated!)... Derek mentioned that track too and said its good! If we go up there I'll post to see if anyone is interested.

Did you get there at 8? How was the grouping and did it get full?

I got there at 8:20 - Tim got there shortly after 7:00... I completed tech inspection 1 car ahead of him
We were both in group 3 (of 4)... so yeah, it doesn’t pay to get there early.
I just cleaned out the car and took a better look at my time slips - my best ET was actually 14.142 with 2.276 60'
trap speed 101.50 - that was the very last run (5th or 6th) of the day @ 4:51pmI guess I should look up the density altitude - but probably wont bother - I wasn’t really after time this outing, just the data logging.

Mike,
Did you ever had an Osiris flash before the headers & cams? The only reason I ask is because my car feels a little sluggish off of the line. But it feels great at mid & high RPM's. The car just feels lazy off the line, even in these cold days.

Otherwise - did Shawn road tune you after dyno? It's normally not as big an issue with MT because he get in lower rmps for you on dyno - but every time I retune, he goes out with me for the low end stuff and after a couple of tweaks he nails it.
