Lakers ftw. That's pretty much the only bball team I kinda know, since they're local.

I'm probably the only non-sports fan here.

I want something that is as close as possible to oem reliability, which in my opinion is the HKS. I used to work in the industry and have been around a lot of forced induction systems for the VQ, and for my needs (daily driver, not tracked, oem reliability, about 80-100 more whp, C.A.R.B EO) the HKS is perfect for me.

Glad to hear so many others are going to make it out!

But why go with HKS SC? Why not Vortec?

+1. I'd go the HKS route too for the same reasons. I want to keep my car a solid, reliable daily driver. The only thing I'd change is the intercooler. It's so tiny.

So why would you guys choose HKS over Vortech?

I don't really want turbo & I don't like the roots style SC

I'm now debating on these two..

i would choose HKS because it is a reliable brand and it is quality. but i then at the same time i would choose the Vortech because it gives you more horse power and it can be used for a daily driven car.

One of the things that scares me is when you get it installed...

I thought I could do the install.. Lol but then there's the tunning part... Do they come pre tuned?

splicing is easy, finding the correct wires should be the worry.

back in my srt4 days, i had to splice into my ecu to install my safco neo (fuel controller)
