Still, it depends how much you wanna drop it & if you're going for adjustable dampening as well...if the height of springs is fine with you then by all means go for the springs.
But a lot of people get springs and then get coilovers later to go lower and that's a waste of time & money IMO. If you're gonna spend the money anyways, then might as well spend the money on the right thing & get it right the first time.
And i got holes on my front bumper too and it ain't noticeable unless you try to notice it.
