its a good idea Mark... DaveO and I talked about doing something similar in the past (a mod workshop/seminar and meet)... Combining it with a performance experience (track) would be cool... Quite an undertaking though to do it that big, but it can be done.

Something I've brought up in the past (tried to get Nissan Sport to do) - raffle an FI package (SC or ST/TT)... Maybe get a sponsor to provide at low cost in exchange for advertising/recognition (or installation) and sell raffle tickets - depending on price of tickets it could offset some of the costs of the event... This way whatever vendor provides will get good exposure (and install fee), member gets an FI package for price of install only and event gets partially subsidized from portion of raffle fees.

Just some ideas (I'm not sure how much time I could dedicate to this though)...

The FI raffle is an excellent idea. Could you imagine, we'd sell so many tickets. For a chance to win FI I'd spend a few bucks. Someone should call Vortech....
